Steubenville East 2007 Handouts for Conference Workshops: July Newsletter Dear Steubenville East Group Leader,Thank you for bringing a group to Steubenville East! Without you, our weekends are not possible. You are the most important instrument of God in the lives of the youth. May God bless you and protect you. Praise God for this year’s awesome weekends! Let us pray that all the seeds that were planted during our ‘all access’ weekends will bear fruit that will last. “As for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the Word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance.” Luke 8:15 We want to support you in your work with the youth and are launching a new program on First Friday’s called “Extreme East.” We invite you to come to LaSalette Shrine on October 5, 2007 when first guest speaker/musician will be Martin Doman. You’ll be blessed with a full evening of praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, reconciliation, an inspiring talk ending with a time of fellowship, fun and food. We only have seating for 550 so get your tickets early. The flyer is attached. Please take a few minutes to fill out the on-line evaluation form. We need your feedback in order to make improvements and hear how the Spirit is working in the lives of the people we are serving. Please send me your victory stories telling about the blessings received on the ‘all access’ weekends. I’d like to compile a Newsletter of all the great things the Lord did for His kids (of whatever age). It will encourage and bless us all. Next year’ theme is “Witness” “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you shall be my witnesses even to the ends of the earth.” Save the dates now! 2008 dates are: July 11-13 and July 18-20 Registration will begin in January, 2008!

What is one thing you are going to do after this conference to become a better witness for Jesus? 2. What are some things we can do as a youth group to make us a stronger community of God’s love? 3. Outline of 2007 talks with Scripture and Catechism references available As you are preparing for our “All Access” weekends, you may find outlines of the talks, with scripture references and Catechism references helpful. It would be wonderful to cover some of these truths of our faith before you arrive. We are beginning on Friday night with the Eucharistic procession and we hope that on Saturday night kids have a greater understanding of the gift and power of the Holy Spirit in our souls through Baptism and all the sacraments, through prayer and responding to the call and inspirations of the Spirit in our daily lives. It is supposed to be normal for Catholic Christians to feel and experience the joy and gifts of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives. We hope that our Youth will be empowered by knowledge of the truth and the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit available to us in our daily lives.

“ All Access” CD Cover design available You can download the jacket cover of this summer’s “All Access” CD. It has great ideas for group discussions and preparation for the weekend. We are not going to mail out the CD’s this year, however, if you want them before you come for the weekends, you can come by and pick them up or pay for the shipping costs.
